Carrickfergus in Northern Ireland is a great destination for visitors, regardless of business or pleasure. Within a beautiful surrounding environment, the Borough offers a unique heritage location set with Belfast Lough to the east and hills to the west. The award-winning Carrickfergus Marina also provides an excellent seafront setting beside the town centre.

If you coming to visit the area, you can contact the Tourist Information Centre where you can get information on places to stay and things to do. The Carrickfergus Tourist Information Centre (TIC) is located in Museum and Civic Centre, Antrim Street, Carrickfergus. A gift shop offers an array of goods and products celebrating the local heritage of Carrickfergus and Northern Ireland. The opening hours of the TIC and the gift shop are:
April to September: Monday to Saturday 10.00am to 6.00pm; Sunday 1.00pm to 6.00pm.
October to March: Monday to Saturday 10.00am to 5.00pm; Sunday 1.00pm to 5.00pm.

The friendly Northern Ireland Tourist Board trained staff offer comprehensive information on places to visit, activities, events, accommodation, etc. for the local area and further afield. A wide range of literature is on display, for sale or for reference. A computerised accommodation booking facility for All Ireland and B.A.B.A Service (Book A Bed Ahead) is available for Great Britain. They also offer a Bureau de Change facility for incoming tourists.
